Disability Concession for disabled people

I do notice that there is not enough kudos for this topic.    Are you sure?  
I strongly believe that if you have discounts for students - able bodied in most senses- then physical and intellectually disabled people should receive the same concessions.

Monitoring the bona fide of this would not be hard.  The user would need to submit the details of their concession card.

I am writing this on behalf of my intellectually disabled sister who loves her music.  She has limited finances, and any financial discount helps her to access other things.

I just cannot believe in this age, that there is not enough “kudos” for this.   I’m sure the artist who get a token amount of money from Spotify would agree to monetary concessions to disabled people.
Spotify could do a great service to themselves and the community to concede to such an idea.   Don’t forget it is 2021.

I use to use Spotify, But SiriusXM gave me (Yes Disabled) a deal for 3 years (Then looked a Spotify again) Then after my 3 years of SiriusXM they extended it for another 3 years = Here we go again looking at Spotify 😞 😪

I automatically assume companies know these things because every discussion
I've had with one has. I spent nearly 10 years trying to get grocery
delivery especially for those of us who are house bound and without support
and finally got it last year. On my last delivery I was informed that it
was being shut down in the new year despite record sales. I have dozens of
similar discussions with other big companies who just don't seem to care. A
top administrator of one came right out and told me I just wasn't worth the
cost to fix what I was paying good money for.
I recently spoke with Rogers for a similar package but was promptly refused.
Gotta keep trying though and I thank you for your help.

I would like a quick answer of Spotify if they don't move their ass because they only think about money and they don't think about the people who are in these situations. Sorry to be so aggressive but they have to understand. And people like that have to prove something like that, like they are disabled (invalidated), like the students. Sorry but I’m like this because my accident.

Sorry to hear about your accident. My heart goes out to anyone disabled
this way. I was born with mine and can remember great suffering from about
5 or 6 years of age, my first of many operations, that continued to present
day. In other words I had a lifetime to acclimate to my condition only
dealing with deteriorating effects from teens on. Going from good health to
disability must be extremely tough. The worst for me was dealing with an
ever increasing apathy from certain health care providers but I continually
remind myself that even I have trouble realizing another's pain when I am
feeling particularly good. But try to remember that you are ultimately
responsible for your mental health. You can let a situation control you and
suffer with anger or depression or you can let it roll of off of you and
choose to be happy in spite of what you're facing. It's not easy and I
still prefer to avoid situations that could affect my mental health but
with every instance I manage to control my suffering it gets easier. What
works for me is I vent my frustration in a letter but then don't send it.
In a couple of days I go back to it and either decide it wasn't worth the
bother or attack it a more positive creative manner. Either way refusing to
let someone else control my happiness. Presently all I'm doing is sitting
around waiting for the nightmare to be over so feel free to vent in my
direction anytime. It really does help.

Thank you Lance for your messages and I only hope for you the best, but I will tell you my side of how I see the things, it's just world for me, they have to open eyes on this because the only question in this world is money and I don’t like speak of this so much. I don't speak correctly English but I traduce what | write. And traduce is not really correctly. And I understand you and I don't want give you my suffering. And I know you understand and for me it's a pleasure to speak with you and to see I'm not alone. And you don't need give an answer, it's not a problem. It's only respect I give to you and you know. of my life probably because my father did as well. Doesn't seem like it did
much so thank you for your fight as well. No one can say that you didn't

Okay, so they take so much time to give an answer. So if they don’t want move their ass for disabled people. So let’s go to see with a state for do it, for they move and do something if they want to play at this. I’m angry to wait because they only think about one thing so okay.

If you qualify for state assistance you should qualify for a discount. Music is therapy and should be available to everyone. Not marked up and stuffed with an unbearable amount of ads.

I too am disabled. I can't even afford your least expensive plan. Please make a concession for us. I am elderly as well. Students get discounts and most are able to pay the full amount. Thank you.
