[Mobile][Other] Remove or manage “Your top podcasts” from mobile home screen

On the mobile app Home screen, “Your top podcasts” isn’t reflecting my most frequently used podcasts. It contains podcasts that I haven’t listened to recently, and yet it omits at least one of the podcasts to which I have listened recently.

 

How is Spotify defining “Top” podcasts?

 

Regardless of this definition, I want to manage which podcasts are displayed on my home screen.

 

Several users have provided feedback on this — and in particular, some users have unwittingly shared explicit podcasts with young children or family members. These people cannot dismiss/forget these podcasts from their home screen. Inappropriate and embarrassing. 

 

Allow Spotify users to manage which podcasts appear on “Your top podcasts.”

We're setting this idea to 'Not Right Now', as this isn't something we have any immediate plans to implement.

Seriously, just add the feature to hide podcasts. Stop making me sift through things I don't want. It shouldn't be hard.

What a crappy response. This is a horrible experience for me daily. I don't care about podcasts even if you make money from them. I pay you every month for a premium membership, and all I want to see is the relevant music I listen to. Why not solve this? Don't forget your users. Definitely dissatisfied with this.

This is still a problem. There are multiple threads dealing with this problem which is, in essence, a change to the settling tab. My family and I are leaving the platform for this exact reason.

Hey ‘folks’ at Spotify,

We appreciate you coming to the Community to inform us that you’re setting this idea to 'Not Right Now'.


It’s absolutely ridiculous that this issue has been raised by users for years and yet you still refuse to listen to the people who are paying to use your service.

 

The ‘top shows’ list is so central and immediately visible on the home page - it’s just bizarre users don’t have the ability to select what’s displayed (or at the very least what ISN’T displayed).

 

As such, I’m setting my premium subscription to ‘Not Right Now’. Will happily return if you can somehow work out a solution.

why are you ignoring all those comments?

This is really user unfriendly behavior. 
Please reconsider your answer to this user demand. You are offering a user voting for features and then you give a sh*t to that voting? Hm. Well then shut down that voting and say loud that you don't care about your users. Well except for their money of course...

Spotify clearly doesn't care about their paying customers as long as they can get those sweet, sweet podcast listeners. I guess it's all worth it so they can advertise the "C-U-M Town" podcast (yes, really) to children. 

 

Edit: Spotify is marketing the "C-U-M Town" podcast to everyone, but is too shy to let you type the name of the podcast on their forum (which is why I typed it with the dashes).  Pathetic.

At least you may remove annoing podcast spam suggestions via ublock rule on web, for example:

The request got moved in status to a Live Idea this morning, and if there's more people on that post chastising them, we might get some traction.

 

They better not do our request dirty like they did yours, or they're gonna lose a lot of customers

 

Come assist is on the other post, and we'll try to get these jackwagons to listen to reason and give us CHOICES.

Please action this. I second most everything that has been said. The fact that it has taken so long is quite disappointing on Spotify's end.
