Smart shuffle is a fun way to discover new songs, but it comes at a cost. Want to reshuffle your queue? Bam, wait a few seconds longer. Want to unshuffle your playlist? Bam, no longer works, and goes to a completely random place in the playlist.

To me this is an unwanted complication, and I'd much rather be able to choose in the settings menu whether I want to enable the Smart Shuffle feature, or disable it.

I’m getting ready to make a subscription decision because of this.  I don’t want to be forced to listen to a model that picks music for me. I want to listen to my liked songs only and on shuffle.  When I want to find new music, I should be able to toggle it to do so, not forced.  Giving it a short term and then will cancel and move on to another service provider.  Not allowing users to export song lists doesn’t make Spotify sticky enough for me to stay. Seems like a simple feature but assuming that Spotify is monetarily motivated to not allow this feature.

I agree.  Smart Shuffle was never asked for; thus, the perfect reason to implement it.

I already pay enough money each month for a subscription. Stop trying to make me listen to music I have no interest in because it makes you money. The user interface looks ugly and is already too complex, adding more options does nothing but infuriate users. No one wants this.

I hate smart shuffle and there’s currently no way to disable it, which is EXTRA ANNOYING!! if this feature is not removed completely, or if an option to permanently disable the feature is not added, i will be canceling my premium subscription and switching to apple music…

Agreed, I'd love to toggle this off permanently. The feature is constantly bugging out and not turning itself off when I request it to.

They can just make an option to toggle it off in settings so it doesn't intrude in the UX.

This feature **bleep**. Stop shoving it down my face every single time I want to switch between shuffle and non-shuffle..This suggestion have existed for a long time, how about a fix?!?!?

Smart shuffle and Joe Rogan are the 2things I wish I didn’t have to deal with on Spotify. 
I NEVER want smart shuffle. Please don’t scam me with smart shuffle. We can shuffle by going to the Radio option, so why force it on us? I don’t like Pandora for a reason. That’s why I’m paying full price for Spotify so I don’t have to deal with the shuffle.

I think the more user options the better. It seems simple to add a small setting to disable this feature.
