Smart shuffle is a fun way to discover new songs, but it comes at a cost. Want to reshuffle your queue? Bam, wait a few seconds longer. Want to unshuffle your playlist? Bam, no longer works, and goes to a completely random place in the playlist.

To me this is an unwanted complication, and I'd much rather be able to choose in the settings menu whether I want to enable the Smart Shuffle feature, or disable it.

Give users more options in settings! Let us turn off features that are not crucial to the app!

tagged as "good suggestion" almost a year ago but still not a feature...

we're not asking for it to be removed just to have the option to not have it come up every time, or even just tapping to do normal shuffle, holding it pressed down for smart shuffle.

Do they even look at the "Good Suggestions" section at all, or do they just tend to ignore it unless it's a bug!?!?!?

Paid subscribers get FORCED to have Smart Shuffle on by default. I spent hours creating playlists in SPECIFIC orders. This happened before and it went away for a while. Now it's back. An option in the settings to disable is the only thing we are asking for.

if i wanted songs in my playlist that are not in my playlist... i'd put them in my playlist. Smart shuffle is a multi second delay on reshuffling or unshuffling a playlist (both things i have to do regularly since regular shuffle only ever takes an hour worth of songs anyway...) and i have never once wanted to use it. Let me turn it off, or better yet just kill the 'feature' entirely and stop trying to tell me what i want to listen to.

This can't be that difficult to implement - and turning off smart shuffle, especially on older devices, is laggy (...?). Please just give us a simple disable switch/button.
