[Playlists] Solution to false/abusive reporting

Whenever someone reports a playlist - the title and cover art are removed immediately. This is often abused to hurt record labels and playlist curators. After contacting support - the account of someone who abused this system gets taken down. This person then creates another email and free Spotify account and repeats the process.

There is a simple solution to the problem - enable reporting feature only after 10 hours of music/podcasts were streamed using the account. It won't change the experience for a normal user but makes copyright abuse impractical. It's cheap and easy to implement and would stop 95% of false claims.

Thank you for your consideration.

It's stupid how Spotify claims not to have access on the Report Log, it MUST be in the system. If we curators could access or see that kind of stuff we would just block the IP of the person who's reporting the playlist...
A HUGE Company like this and claiming not to have access on that is such a dumb thing to say, i don't expect nothing from them soon enough, we will have to deal with this for a long long time.

Or maybe if this idea had over 1000 upvotes they would choose to do something, we are still in minority with this because we don't have enough upvotes on this, I got reported while writing this message 😂, I will try to do something to increase engagement and upvotes here. We all need to do that. 400 upvotes is nothing really...

@SptfyHelper It's true... we need more up votes... I see topics on here where people are complaining about the colour or layout of a button that get 1000's of votes 😂... but nonetheless Spotify should at least acknowledge that we are some of their most passionate super-users and that ignoring us is a real slap in the face...

PLAYTIFY

Still not fixed (suprise)

heh

I literally just restored my playlist title and it was gone again with 15 minutes.  Insane!  It has to be bots.

heh

If it were a human being reporting my list, there's no way they would even know I put the title back up.  When they report it, the playlist disappears from everyone's side panels.  It doesn't instantly reappear when I re-add the title.  Yet, they're able to report me again within just a couple of minutes of fixing it.  The first report came over 5 hours ago.  I re-added it, and the title hasn't stayed up for more than 15-20 minutes at a time since then.

heh

I just responded to Spotify support on all 8 e-mails I have received so far this morning with the same cut-and-paste response.

I wasn’t even aware this was a thing until this morning. Woke up and saw a playlist I created 5 years ago that has over 400 followers had the art and title removed because it supposedly violated the Profile and Playlist guidelines. Figured it was a glitch and changed it back. A minute later i get another email claiming the same thing. Changed the art to a slightly different image and the title to something else and it, of course, happened again. Made my profile private for 2 hours and then as soon as I made it public again i was reported AGAIN. This is an insanely stupid way to treat content creators. The fact there’s no review process whatsoever is ridiculous. On any other social media site when content is reported someone at least has to bother to make sure there’s an actual violation. I know I’m preaching to the converted.

also I’ve sent Spotify numerous emails and messaged then on Twitter about this issue and have received nothing in response. This is a really pushing me to jumping to Apple Music instead.

heh

...aaaaaand now Spotify took down my playlist entirely.  They didn't give any clear reason why.  I had re-added the title again this morning, then 5 minutes later it was gone.  An hour after that, they took the whole playlist down.  Thanks for nothing, Spotify.

I still haven’t gotten a single response from them regarding my playlist being targeted despite getting THIRTY emails yesterday about violations. You’d think they could use some of that money they pay Joe Rogan to actually pay someone to verify that these supposed playlist violations are real.
