[Playlists] Turn Off/Remove/Opt Out of "Your Episodes"

Currently, downloaded podcasts are automatically added to the "your episodes" playlist (whether you want them there or not). They are not automatically removed when you un-download them. Additionally, is a pain to remove each episode from the playlist, you have to perform at least three steps. This feature, as it currently exists, serves little more purpose than to be a duplicate of the "downloads" tab.

In sum, users should be able to choose whether or not they utilize the "your episodes" playlist feature and have greater control over how it functions.

Is there a way to remove the entire “your episodes” playlist from your library, I’ve unfollowed all of my podcasts and don’t have any downloaded but it still has the green playlist with  “1 episode” on it but there’s nothing in there?? I hate it I find it so ugly and it’s annoying me.

I also hate this feature. I do not listen to podcasts, and one episode I had downloaded because it was a song. I removed the episode to try to get rid of the My Episodes list and it's just stuck. It's empty but still says "1 episode" and won't go away. Super annoying.

100% agree. It's a nuisance to have to manually remove episodes from "my episodes". Once I delete the podcast that means I no longer want it for offline use, therefore I no longer need it in "my episodes". Deleting a podcast should automatically remove it, the same way that downloading it automatically adds it.

I cannot stand the your episodes feature. It won't stop adding podcast episodes that I don't even subscribe to or want to listen to and then begins to automatically download them. I haven't been so frustrated with a streaming service since I first tried Apple Music. And that's saying something because Apple Music is atrocious. Just fix it Spotify.

Super frustrating waste of a feature.  My "your episodes" has 266 episodes in it, what's the point of that? A playlist of podcasts would be welcome, but not this junk.

It's been over 6 months and this issue annoys me daily. Please get rid of it.

I love Spotify but this “episodes for you” feature is the worst of the worst of the worst. What kind of product manager / developer would think of sucky functions like this? I have NEVER listened to podcasts on Spotify, as this is a music app last time I checked. However these suggested episodes keep popping up at the top of my home page. So sick of this and please provide some support to remove or at least allow us to remove it. Before it’s resolved I’ll probably keep searching for Spotify alternatives, even though I like the rest of Spotify so much 😕

Agree. I do not want my episodes to be put all in one folder, and if so why can't I group select to remove all? It gets so chaotic if you're listening to a lot of downloaded episodes on the go.

I have had a lot of problems with the Your Episodes playlist. I originally had the common glitch of having ghost podcasts that weren't actually there despite it saying they were. Now those are gone but the your episodes playlist won't go away - it just sits their empty. I was hoping it would disappear like the Your Likes playlist does when it is empty. I would very much like the option to remove it entirely - I find it to be horrible.

I also do not want to see that stuff. Most of it is propaganda BS. I pay a subscription to listen to music that I choose, not some BS yall choose to push on us
