Return expanded queue view (not only sidebar) for desktop as it was before and now on web

As mentioned in https://community.spotify.com/t5/Desktop-Mac/Cannot-expand-queue-section-on-Mac-desktop-application/... it would be great to return old and pretty standard view for queue (aka playing now). As having it very limited on sidebar is against existing UX

While I appreciate this user trying to suggest a middle ground, the issue for many if not most of the comments I've read is not that it's sharing with the Now Playing view, but it removed a useful and used feature of having the queue and management of the queue take up the main part of the screen. It now shows less information than before while keeping useless information that is never used taking up the main part of my player. It was working well and they removed it. It contained way more information than what is currently displayed and they removed that. It was large and easy to manage and they removed that. It didn't fight with other features in the side bar and now they made it share. They regularly take away useful features in their updates. Voting for this anyway to help give visibility to Spotify for any change that returns the queue to the main window.

Agreed! I liked how the queue was in the middle and I liked seeing the "Now Playing" beside it.
Now you can only see one and I really want to see both.
They should either revert it or make it customisable.

What I'm suggesting regarding the queue is not a middle ground because you would be able to have the full functionality of the middle screen queue just like it was before the new update. I just think that the additional feature of an extended queue in the now playing view would also be very nice. The only compromise with this would be that you could only access the recently played and jam session through the middle screen, which in my opinion is well worth it considering the upsides.

So Spotify foolishly forced users to only have the queue available on a far right sidebar on the desktop app- and now took away full screen queue on the web version? ATTENTION SPOTIFY: The sidebar queue sucks! Give users the option of using a full screen queue.

Someone on reddit (I think) helpfully pointed out that the webplayer still offered the old queue UI, but it looks like they've caught on and neutered that too. It was nice for the last week or so, though. But now the webplayer is unfortunately just a clone of the app again.

7 pages of negative feedback for this latest change, and not a peep from Spotify.

The new sidebar-only view is just awful. Seeing song details like duration are essential. Please revert or at least give us the option to see the queues in the main section.

is there any way to contact spotify on this? i see no reaction from them in this whole thread? app became completely unusable for me with this change.

why do they implement these changes that no one is requesting? why is this not an optional thing??

can i actually cancel my contract due to this change?
