Select and organize multiple Playlists

This is a direct copy of this idea which was originally posted 2 years ago.  I wasn't a user then, and this idea has since been made inactive, so I'm resurrecting it.  Even just a shift-select on the desktop app would help immeasurably.  Here's the original idea:

"I am looking for easy ways to organize my library.

I want to do some housekeeping in my library, but I find the current system of dragging and dropping individual playlists is too time consuming when the number of playlists reach this high.

First of all, there should be a way to select multiple playlists at once and be able to handle multiple playlists the same way as I can handle single playlist (ability to drag and drop, and rightclick w/ a special dropdown menu for multiple selected items).

Ctrl-clicking, shift-clicking and shift+arrowkeys would help greatly.

[Edit] This idea is nearing its 2 year anniversary of no official recognition. Good times! 🙂

As a sidenote my Spotify library now consists of 1296 playlists."

March 2017 and it still doesn't work.  Kudos?

It's a waste of time. Spotify developers don't care whether the desktop app works for users or not—they don't use it themselves, a classic case of not eating their own dogfood—they only care about the money they can squeeze out of people.

Checkboxes would make a ton of sense, I'm trying to organize my playlists right now and it's insanely time consuming.

PLEASE add this simple and extremely useful feature (rest assured your competitors will!)

So people have been waiting for this for years?!? I'm honestly stunned at what the Spotify developers can get away with in terms of annoying and not listening to their users. This should be basic functionality.

Great idea!!

September 2017 and this still has not happened yet 😕

I am currently reorganising multiple playlists and it is an almighty P.I.T.A.

Surely on the Desktop version I should be able to drag and drop paylists into folders Windows style in the large window to the right? Instead I'm hauling them up and down the very long list of playlists on the left-hand side, one by one. It's like fetching your groceries one item at a time.

According to your website, "with Spotify, it’s easy to find the right music for every moment". No. It. Isn't. It's really hard to organise playlists.

(NB Why I am organising things in folders, I don't know as you no longer allow us to shuffle the whole folder; that's a seperate problem, which I've posted on elsewhere. I expect that this is all part of a wider business goal for people to use the playlists YOU curate for more often than the ones they curate themselves.)

Sure;y Spotify you have heard enough times how aggravatung this isuue is.
As people use you more and more it will get more and more annoying. Don't
leave it too late, just fix it or at least tell us when or worst case why
not.
