Select and organize multiple Playlists

This is a direct copy of this idea which was originally posted 2 years ago.  I wasn't a user then, and this idea has since been made inactive, so I'm resurrecting it.  Even just a shift-select on the desktop app would help immeasurably.  Here's the original idea:

"I am looking for easy ways to organize my library.

I want to do some housekeeping in my library, but I find the current system of dragging and dropping individual playlists is too time consuming when the number of playlists reach this high.

First of all, there should be a way to select multiple playlists at once and be able to handle multiple playlists the same way as I can handle single playlist (ability to drag and drop, and rightclick w/ a special dropdown menu for multiple selected items).

Ctrl-clicking, shift-clicking and shift+arrowkeys would help greatly.

[Edit] This idea is nearing its 2 year anniversary of no official recognition. Good times! 🙂

As a sidenote my Spotify library now consists of 1296 playlists."

IT's ridiculous this hasn;t been implemented yet

We really need a simple method to not only delete multiple playlists, but for simple playlist management.

Not even a simple Sort mechanism to organize playlists alphabetically, by artist, by date added (earliest or latest)... this seems like really simple stuff, Spotify! How about helping us out here?

YES...this has been LONG OVERDUE!!!!

Yes, I would also heavily use shift - select multiple, right click move to playlist x and delete from this one!

What could possibly be going at Spotify HQ to leave this issue so brutally unaddressed (for 2 f***ing years)!

You misread, this issue has been reported and I have been supporting this "idea" and its predecessor since 6 years (2012), this is completely insane ...

Who is even surprised? Guys, this is never going to happen, cause they
don´t care.

Noticed they made the "add playlist" on mobile phones more of a pain? now
you have to write the whole name of your playlist manually... What do I
get from this? they just want us to click on "save album" or "save songs"
and stop using playlists. What do we do with thousands we created? well, I
don´t want to curse.

I was literally just complaining about this on twitter yesterday and how nothing has happened to fix and today my email had these replies. and i'm glad @segersaell noticed the mobile app playlist thing too. annoying as **bleep**. somehow this is all moving backwards.

@segersaell I suspect that Spotify wants us to listen to more of the content that they curate (e.g. Release Radar, Daily Mix) and less to our own selections. They can probably monetize the app better that way - perhaps artists could pay more to give their material a boost.

Either that or NO ONE at Spotify has ever wanted to shuffle a whole folder or add a song to more than one playlist at a time. No playlist filter. No recent folders. No 'drag and drop' view on desktop Sporify.  The whole process of organising your music is so time-consuming and tedious.

This is a direct copy of an idea submitted in 2012 here. It was resurrected in 2014 here. Despite gathering 315 votes, it was set to inactive, because apparently it needs 100 kudos per year (how many active users are on here anyway?).

In my case, Spotify imported all the playlists on my hard drive when I first started, which were about 1200. There was no way to remove these, except delete them one by one. There still is no way to bulk remove these, which is just plain stupid. Please keep this idea alive!
