Theme/Skin for Spotify

Do you remember old music player Winamp?

As you know, one of the best features of Winamp was that it could install a lot of themes

In today's technology world, especially in the gaming world (for example, Valorant, CS:GO, League Of Legends) people spend serious money for skins. Spotify can offer customizable theme options for nominal fees. People like their favorite team, their favorite movies, games and game characters or just random cool skins etc. They can use their themes as skins on Spotify. To give an example again, even in my own country, I know millions of people who will use Galatasaray skin on Spotify which is of one of the most popular Football club in my country. Imagine if this was done all over the world. Company will make incredible profits in just 1 month.

Nice coincidence I just submitted to the spotify dashboard for developer an app for windows...

let mw know if you kor anybody else] want test it. Spotify only allow the application to have 25 users until they approve (or reject) the project.

In the meantime, while waiting for official theming support, you might want to try out the open-source project Spicetify. It is an (unofficial) tool to modify your Spotify client with themes and functionality extensions. Be aware when using it, you're doing it at your own risk.

Interesting approach but damn that is a bit of an extreme. workaround.

Why cant we have a light skin on spotify for desktop? I dont want my applications dark, but spotify gives us no choice.

Because cool kids only use dark mode.
It is pretty inexcusable not have at least a light/dark mode.

From an accessibility point of view is awful.
I don't really understand why there aren't more popular alternative clients.
I don't think users really know that they exist and Spotify don't really seem interested in giving them any visibility.
