[Your Library] Order/sort albums by release date/year

Now that the original release year should be available please add an option to the new album view to use it for sorting.

there could be options for at least:

"SORTED BY ARTIST / YEAR"

"SORTED BY ARTIST / TITLE"

"SORTED BY YEAR"

There could be some kind of subtle separator where the artist changes when listing the album covers. Also the release year should be shown in the album images.

It's kind of insane that this still hasn't been implemented. This was a feature in the original iTunes over 20 years ago.

This is a must have feature.  I have left Spotify many times and come back for a month at a time to check-in and see if the UX is any better.  It may actually be worse now than two years ago.

I just cancelled my Spotify Premium membership and switched to Tidal, they sort albums by release date by default.

I see the UX has actually got even worse - it is not even a simple thing to see your "Likes" any more.  I have essentially moved to Apple Music, whose library management is just simple and works like it should.  I will try Tidal again too.

10 years later Spotify still can't sort your library by release date 😂

It's clear that, contrary to what they say in their comments thanking users, they don't give a damn.

For Spotify the "customers" are more like the "product" like Ryanair does.

They make money by telling advertisers, record labels or whoever, what users they have and doing whatever it takes to make it hard to listen to what you want and direct them to what they want you to listen to.

Disappointing to be a user.
