Touch preview removal on last iOS vers. update looks like it hasn't been a great idea. You are on time to restore it, one of the best Spotify features.

Thanks for coming to the Community, and adding your vote to this idea!

 

This feature was originally removed from the app due to low engagement. There was a statement at the time which you can check out at https://community.spotify.com/t5/iOS-iPhone-iPad/Touch-Preview-on-iOS-removal/td-p/1857905.

 

We're keeping this idea as 'Not Right Now', as it's not something we have any immediate plans to add back onto the app.

 

If we do have any new info to share we'll check back in here with a new status.

Similarly disappointed. Was such an awesome feature while it was around. 

 

I like the new Waze integration too though it seems pretty buggy - but touch preview was truly innovative.

Spotify eliminated the most practical feature in the name of the improvement and they spoiled my more intuitive music discovery.

Now I'm too bothered to find new music because I have to tap them on by one.

I cannot be disappointed enough!

Restore Touch Preview ASAP.

This was my favourite feature, used it to quickly sample songs/artists and discovered so much music. BRING IT BACK

BS!!#%**....bring back touch preview Spotify!!! I used to loooove Spotify, & now...??.. Of all the things u remove, (shock & awe)Track Preview is your worst decision..BOOO Spotify Boo👎

I seriously can not find any new music now. This was my only way of finding any kind of new Music. I absolutely can not stand clicking on songs, skipping through them and seeing if I like them that way. 

 

WHY do you cut GREAT features from the app without adding ANYTHING back???!!!

How does that make you more money??? You guys are a business, YOU ARE A BUSINESS SO YOU CAN MAKE MONEY!!!! 

MANY MANY MANY people are canceling their subscriptions just because they can’t stand your horrible decisions you make with spotify. There was NO need to take this feature out. Clearly it was not an underused feature in the app, haven’t you seen the pages upon pages of people’s replies? I couldn’t find one person who was actually happy that it was gone. 

 

PLEASE ADD THIS BACK.

This not give money to big labels. I assume that Majors pressured Spotify to take it down because people were more willing to find new artist that are not under Majors.

Another user here asking you to bring back touch preview. Those of us who used Spotify to discover new music have pretty much no use for the app now.

This is one of the main reasons why I loved spotify! I really dont understand what went through your heads to make you delete this. The app is so much more complicated to use now and Im extremely upset this feature was completely taken away. Why couldnt you just make it optional for each user? Why did you take it away to begin with? It wasnt hurting anyone who wasnt using it.
