Touch preview removal on last iOS vers. update looks like it hasn't been a great idea. You are on time to restore it, one of the best Spotify features.

Thanks for coming to the Community, and adding your vote to this idea!

 

This feature was originally removed from the app due to low engagement. There was a statement at the time which you can check out at https://community.spotify.com/t5/iOS-iPhone-iPad/Touch-Preview-on-iOS-removal/td-p/1857905.

 

We're keeping this idea as 'Not Right Now', as it's not something we have any immediate plans to add back onto the app.

 

If we do have any new info to share we'll check back in here with a new status.

Bring touch preview back!!! It's not the same and I'm super unhappy. This kept me a loyal Spotify user because I have zero interest in previewing all songs one at a time. Major disappointment

This was the single most useful feature. This was the most effective way to explore new music. Restore this feature and release it for other platforms.

This is a very important feature and was not used by many people because they didn't know about it but it should be better advertised and be added back

Can we please make this at least an option? This was an amazing feature, especially when you can't remember a song title off an album, or are browsing an album you might be interested in! The long press was the perfect integration for it as well. I'm not sure how else it could be integrated on the mobile version. 3D touch would likely be too clunky.

I'm super angry that with the new update, you removed the song preview!!!!That's a deal breaker for me.
I'm going to CANCEL my subscription!!!!

It was one of Spotifys best features, this is like apple removing the headphone jack it makes no sense.

even if people weren't using it isn't it better to have more features than less, now if I want to find a song I have to press play and skip through and then it shows up on recently listened I don't want this.

This is really upsetting. I was hoping my app just needed to be restarted or my phone was bugging out. I loved the force touch preview, especially on third-party playlists. If force touch is the problem I'd be fine with another way to access the feature, just please bring it back.
