[iOS] Implement Native HomePod Support

Details

Just this week at WWDC (June 22, 2020), Apple announced support for third party music services on the HomePod.  I'm requesting that Spotify implement native support for the HomePod such that one or even multiple HomePods will appear in the "Connect to a device" menu on any Apple device WITHOUT having to connect through Airplay.  This will also allow users to ask Siri to play songs from Spotify on their HomePod(s).

Apple is opening up the HomePod, and I know there are many other HomePod users that would love to have native Spotify support on their speaker.

Sebleblanc12 it's actually top voted "new" idea. Spotify guys just ignore it - for months. And the sad story is that I'm locked into Spotify - I have my liked songs, playlists and also the app is better than Apple Music.

But what the heck Spotify... Is it so hard to write few sentences what is the status of it?

Guys in dev. department if you don't have staff which would implement this idea let me do that for you even I can't code but still would probably implement that in a shorter time period... and I don't want any salary at all. I just want to use it.

I've asked once again at SpotifyCares' twitter account, answer being "we dont have anymore info on this right now".

Maybe let's try to bombard Spotify on twitter with this

I've used the #spotifyonhomepod hashtag

this has been available for Spotify for over a year now. Spotify loves to play "the little guy" with  being the big bad anticompetitive bully. meanwhile the developers at Spotify are either too lazy or prevented from adding features to the app.

Excellent idea. I fear I don't have a Twitter account but I bet a good many
of the voters do.

We don‘t receive information about this issue because it‘s a CEO topic who
gives a **bleep** about customer communication. Would it be a topic which needed
to be resolved by Spotify employees then there would be different internal
expectations, from management on eg. technical teams. But as you can see,
as soon as your pockets are filled up enough, you start giving a **bleep**.

Start Apple Music Abo today! 30 days left for any comment...

Cancelling my subscription after 6 years because of this. I'll be on Apple Music until this is added.

Vote with your wallet. Voting here obviously doesn't do anything.

If you want a seamless experience, you are being forced to move to Apple Music.

I prefer the Spotify interface, but I am getting sick of not being able to use the full capabilities of my homepods. The sound quality isn't as good when using Spotify Airplay compared to Apple Music. It's just a bad experience.

Spotify's is essentially forcing customers out the door with their stubbornness, or is it arrogance?
