[iOS] Landscape mode on iPhone

Since we just released "Landscape Mode on Android" and we marked the idea as "implemented", we wanted it to be fair with iPhone users (half of the comments were supporting Android half iPhone) so we have created this idea just for you iPhone users!

We have also added half of the kudos to be entirely fair.

Give it some kudos if you want to see this implemented.

Look folks, landscape mode for the iPhone has been vehemently requested by Spotify users for YEARS... I know because I am one of them.  Whether it's in the car or setting the phone on the elliptical, portrait mode only just plain sucks.

What's worse is Spotify won't share why they're so against adding it for the iPhone.  Sure, in 2013 they shared that they were concerned about the smaller screen size of the 4 series.  Now we're at the 6 and 6 plus stage and size isn't a factor anymore.

So - Spotify - you've got millions of fans and a ton of premium users - like myself - who shell out $10 a month for your service.  We can all agree that you've got a good thing going here and we appreciate it.  However, I'm just plain dumbfounded that you, for the most part, flat out ignore one of the most requested features of Spotify.  I mean, come on.  You guys have a genius team - obviously.  You've done it for Android.

How about an explanation at least?

I'm a new Spotify listener (subscribed to Premium last month).  I'm mostly using Spotify on an iPhone 6 in my car and everytime I get my phone mounted IN LANDSCAPE MODE and turn on Spotify, I have to crank my neck sideways to use the Spotify app.  So I stumbled onto this thread while looking for a solution.  To my dismay, I see requests for a landscape mode dates back to one and a half years ago!!! That's extremely disappointing!!!  With this lack of support, I will end my Premium subscription after the trial ends, because if I can't use the app in the car in landscape mode, then it's better just to look for something else.

This is ridiculous! Why no landscape. It should be something very simple to program in iOS! This is the only thing holding me back from buying Premium!

Please please please implement landscape mode for next update.  

I have the Iphone 6 plus and dont understand why this feature still hasnt been incorporated.  

Waiting on this to decide whether to opt for premium or use another service.

Months into the larger phones and not even an announced update to add landscape mode. It's darn near unusable in the car as it stands.

After discussing this again internally, it's been decided to say Not Right Now to this idea. One of the factors is the size of the iPhone screen vs the generally larger Android screens. Should a larger iPhone come out at some point we might be tempted to reconsider, but as it stands portrait mode will have to suffice.

I think the iPhone is large enough now so do you reconsider???

I recently moved from android to iphone and I'm a bit shocked this hasn't been implemented yet. This was available on the Moto X, which has the same size screen as an iPhone 6, so I'm not entirely sure where the issue is. Many of us change the orientation of the phone, especially when in the car, so this would be a great feature to add.

please do add landscape view for iPhone 6+! The app is frustrating to use in a phone doc that can only fit the phone sideways lol. First world problems I know.. Hah
