[iOS] Landscape mode on iPhone

Hello folks!

Since we just released "Landscape Mode on Android" and we marked the idea as "implemented", we wanted it to be fair with iPhone users (half of the comments were supporting Android half iPhone) so we have created this idea just for you iPhone users!

We have also added half of the kudos to be entirely fair.

Give it some kudos if you want to see this implemented.

SPOTIFY, I have contacted support and no one can tell me what happened to this idea... Is this going to ever happen or no? I am a paid subscriber and this is something I am in serious need of. There are other apps out there that can go into landscape mode, and I'm thinking about switching. I do not like paying for something and not getting any voice in on it. This is something that has been talking about for a year or so... Is there somethidng going to be done or no? Please let me know so I can make my decision. I would love for someone on the development team to contact me about this issue.

Please please please implement this!  I use my phone in my car and wish Spotify's orientation matched the landscape screen for my navigation so it was easier to use.

2014-03-26:

After discussing this again internally, it's been decided to say Not Right Now to this idea. One of the factors is the size of the iPhone screen vs the generally larger Android screens. Should a larger iPhone come out at some point we might be tempted to reconsider, but as it stands portrait mode will have to suffice.

Hi,

I think landscape mode for iPhone make even then sense when the screen is only 4" (like at iPhone 5). I have a lot of audiobooks which have long title names. When I stop listening I have to set the current title as favorite. Otherwise I don't know where I stopped. But if the title name is too long and I can't read the title number I have to click on the three dots right of the name to see which title number it is (And even then I have some album titles which are too long to see the track number). So everytime I want to resume my audio book I have to search. On iPad and Android this is no problem as I have either enough space for the whole title or I can switch to landscape. And I also wonder why I can reorder the album names alphabetically on Android but not on iOS.

So the idea was first introduced on 29-05-2013. Now you are telling us that "after discussing this again", the idea is dead. WHAT'S TO DISCUSS HERE? Just give us some simplified view for iPhone - playlists view, songs view and currently playing song view would be more than enough. It's just for car use purposes. Who cares for discover function, radio feature or whatever.

There is no point for posting ideas if you can't actually fulfill your users wishes. And let them wait for fcuking year in hope.

BTW. I love the new iPhone app design (especially it's dark now). But I can't stand you fooled us all.
