[iOS] Landscape mode on iPhone

Hello folks!

Since we just released "Landscape Mode on Android" and we marked the idea as "implemented", we wanted it to be fair with iPhone users (half of the comments were supporting Android half iPhone) so we have created this idea just for you iPhone users!

We have also added half of the kudos to be entirely fair.

Hey - Any updates on landscape mode on the iPhone? It gets frustrating (for me) not being able to flip to landscape mode given the way I interact with the app. Keeping my phone open/unlocked, my phone is docked all date in landscape mode to monitor incoming messages as I work. Flipping into the app to adjust music/playlists, etc. and being forced back to portrait mode is midly frustrating.

After an year and half still no news about this.

I was an Android user and I used landscape mode several times, mostly in the car, but now in iPhone the feature is not available.

Is this idea still as "Not Right Now"?

I'm curious as to why, in more than five years, they haven't been able to implement a landscape mode in iOS? Is it because Spotify is such a tiny company? Maybe Spotify itself is an obscure app, with a tiny development team? Maybe iOS is a niche market?

What's a more realistic development timeline for implementing Lanscape mode on iOS? If five years isn't long enough, maybe 10 years of development time would suffice? Perhaps 15 years to be safe, and ensure it's properly tested prior to going into production? If we're going with the 15 year development timeframe, should we expect a working Landscape mode some time around the year 2028? Just be aware that I think some competitors might be able to beat you to market there.

I really feel like this should be prioritized more. This litteraly makes the app usesless in a car where the docking orientation is in landscape.

Android gets new feature - "It's only fair if iOS gets it too"
Android lacks basic features that iOS has had for years - Gets totally ignored and every thread adressing it gets marked "Not right now"

I like to keep my iPhone X on my desk on a tripod for easy viewing.  But the phone is too heavy in portrait mode to be steady.

Landscape mode is steady on the short Gorilla-type tripods.
