[iOS] Landscape mode on iPhone

Hello folks!

Since we just released "Landscape Mode on Android" and we marked the idea as "implemented", we wanted it to be fair with iPhone users (half of the comments were supporting Android half iPhone) so we have created this idea just for you iPhone users!

We have also added half of the kudos to be entirely fair.

Give it some kudos if you want to see this implemented.

i just started a premium membership and will probably drop it after the 3 month deal is up.   I have to have landscape in my car and that's where I predominantly use this service.  I find it dangerous to try and mess with it while it's in portrait mode.   There must be an underlying reason why they havent  implemented this yet.  Either way, other companies have figured this out and I like to back winners so see ya!

No worries guys.. Google is working on a streaming service.. and they will not mess up as bad as spotify did..

Any update on this from the Spotify crew would be awesome... It really isn't just convenience why we want landscape mode, it's also because of safety reasons. I'm sure nobody recommends looking through your playlist while driving but I'm even more convinced this doesn't stop anyone from doing so. The least you can do is make it as safe as possible. It's really dangerous to keep your eyes of the road for more than a second and when the screen is tilted it takes at least double the normal time with full attention to your screen just to look for the right song. In landscape mode I should be able to find a song from the corner of my eye while keeping my main focus on the road, just like I can in portrait mode. That's a no go when it's tilted in landscape mode, which can be disastrous. Not trying to be dramatic here, but landscape mode can quite literally save lives...

Not now ? are you kidding, it's a supid decision. like many , i need lansdcape mode in my car. i'm not confused, i use spotify when stopped, and it's horrible to use it in landscape with no landcape display; because i have no choice with the support... so ugly choices there...

I can't see how it's all that difficult.. They've done it with Android with the plethora of different screen sizes and resolutions available. There's only a handful on Apple products.

I routinely show my iphone screen on to my TV, using a video out adapater.  When I use Spotify this way, it would make incredible sense to have it displayed in landscape mode.

Why can't this be supported???

Don't care much for landscape. Would like the screen to flip orientation when my iphone is upsidedown 🙂

I've only just found this topic and it appears it was from over a year ago, yet this still hasn't been implemented into the iOS app. That's very frustrating. It's not like we are asking for some amazing feature. It's just the app rotation. Most app do it it's a pretty simple request yet it still doesn't happen. An update was only released yeaturday and guess what... Still not landscape mode.
