[Mobile] Downloaded playlists do not load without an internet connection

Hey folks!

We’ve received multiple reports that Android and iOS users are unable to play downloaded content while using offline mode. You might get stuck on a loading screen or get an error message saying "Something went wrong. Try again?". 
This is being looked into.

To anyone who is still experiencing this issue with Android devices or Apple iPhones - as it is resolved for most folks, we'd like to see the error in action in order to better understand it 🙂 
If it's possible for you, we'd like to ask you to send us a video recording of what is happening on your ends.

In case the video is too large for the forum, you can instead upload it to Google Drive/ YouTube etc. and send us a link to it!
Just make sure the access is set to public/ anyone with the link.

Its back again. After re installing the app its back again after some weeks

still the same issue happened on Playlist and Albums. 
it’s frustrating when you think its all downloaded and spotify just says i would be offline. What is Download supposed to be good for

This happens for my downloaded Liked songs. Having a spotty Internet connection on journeys means I have to wait to load my Liked Songs playlist. This should not need an Internet connection to do so.

I've been having this issue since at least March. Downloaded playlist won't load or continue playing until I turn offline mode off and connect to the internet. This is happening daily when I try to play my downloaded playlist in offline mode. This has made having premium and offline mode/downloaded playlists useless when I needed them - traveling in remote areas without internet service. Could not play my playlist while traveling/camping this spring on multiple occasions. 

I have tried clearing my cache and uninstalling/reinstalling Spotify. I have plenty of storage space and only one downloaded playlist.

UPDATE - v8.9.44.368 installed 28May24

Since this update, my offline albums and playlists appear to be working as they should.

Fingers crossed they have finally fixed the issue! 🤞

Downloaded albums won't play offline. Often they will take 2-4 minutes to load and still refuse to play even when loaded
