Playback issues related to the next song in the queue

We received reports that upon attempting to play a song that's been added to the queue manually (via the Add to queue option), the playback stops completely and the play buttons on the Now Playing View become greyed out, thus preventing advancing to the next track.

Thanks for your patience while we looked into this issue.

 

We're happy to announce that the queue playback should now be functioning properly for everyone running app version 9.0.8 (iOS and Android) and 1.2.53.440 (desktop). If you don't see the update on your end just yet, rest assured it's coming your way in the next couple of days.

 

To ensure you're running the latest version of Spotify available, it's worth performing a clean reinstall of the app.

 

If you're still having trouble with playback or anything else, you can post a new thread in the relevant Help board here.

It has stopped working since my most recent post. Worked for a few minutes but then stopped

i tried logging out multiple times and redoing my settings but it just won't change to the next song no matter what i do

Hi, when I'm listening to an album on my PC (Windows 10), I can play any song manually without any issues, but after every song it just stops playing music. I think it's because I put a song in my waiting list that isn't available anymore. Does anyone know what to do to fix this?

Redownloading app resolves the issue but after closing and opening app, the problem persists

I'm not sure why but it started working again.

I don't know what changed. The version is still the same etc.

I have an issue exactly like this. When I fully reinstalled Spotify earlier it kind of worked for a bit but then It stopped working.

My Question or Issue

Spotify version: 1.2.53

When you try queueing a song it wont work at all, when you play a song then queue a song and the song ur currently playing ends it will end at the end and just not play the queued song, if you try skipping it turns into something else and i will show a ss of both of these instances, and u wont be able to listen to music while a song is in your queue you have to completely clear queue or this will continue happening.

facing the same issue since yesterday. whenever I am adding to queue the flow breaks, nothing plays, all buttons greyed out, cleared cache, login logout reinstalling the application also did not help, however, it seems to be fine in the web player

For me this problem doesn't happen when I put songs into the Queue. It happens when I'm playing playlists a song plays then it stops playing all together. It doesn't play the next song. I press the pause button and the player just disappears. I've cleared cache and forced closed, uninstalled and reinstalled and even restarted my phone, it fixes it then out of nowhere it happens again and I have to do all this again. I was rejoining premium soon so this better get fixed if not I'm taking my money and business to YouTube Music

I'm experiencing the same issue. I'm using a PC. I've tried restarting, clearing the cache, resetting the app data, and restarting again, but the problem hasn't been resolved. It seems to have started occurring a few days ago.
