Yup, same for me. Tired of these **bleep** constantly breaking **bleep**.its such a simple app too, like compared to many other music apps it's very simple from a feature perspective. They can't do anything right.

When adding a track to additional playlists, the Search field in the Add to playlist menu does not filter results correctly. Typing a playlist name does not filter to matching playlists. This behavior persists even when the track is not already present in the target playlist.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Open any track’s overflow menu (⋮ or “…”)

2. Select Add to playlist

3. Tap into the Search field and type the name of another playlist

4. Observe that matching playlists do not appear or the list remains unfiltered

Expected Behavior:
Playlist list should narrow to show only playlists matching the query.

Actual Behavior:
Search results remain unfiltered or and matching playlists fail to appear.

Additional Notes / Scope:

Reproducible across many tracks and playlists

Occurs regardless of whether song already exists on the playlist

User maintains 100+ playlists

Impact:
Significantly slows playlist organization workflow. Difficult to locate the correct playlist among a large library.

Environment:

Platform: Spotify Mobile App

Spotify Version: 9.0.90.1229

Device: Google Pixel 6

OS: Android 16

Subscription: Premium

Region: United States

Date observed: October 25, 2025

I have the exact same issue. Tried everything, like uninstall/reinstall, log out/log in. Issue remains. It still works on tje PC though.

I don't have the beta version but I'm having the same issue as of a few days ago.

They literally put out an update today (maybe yesterday) and didn't fix it. This stuff WILL make me switch to another provider if it persists, it's completely unaccetable

blankface00

Notable finding: I have this same issue BUT when I am in the "find playlist aspect of adding song to playlist,if I switch to another app and then switch back to Spotify, sudendely all the playlists are sorted as they should be. Something in the code is off I think..

Despite the switch to another app makes it work, it doens;t work when first started it so it's not a Main Loop issue

Hi folks,

Thanks for all the reports!

We've passed this on to our tech folks so they can take a closer look at what's happening, but we're unable to provide an ETA for a fix at the moment. We’re regularly looking for opportunities to enhance the user experience for everyone, so your feedback on this is greatly appreciated.

In the meantime, make sure you're always running the latest version of Spotify so you don't miss out on any updates.

The Community is here if there's anything else you need assistance with.

This same issue is occurring after I updated the app on Friday.

And even after a manually search for the playlists and green check them, they are still not saving the song unless I do it twice.

Same issue here on Galaxy S25 Ultra after the last update. Regular version, not beta

I have the same issue. I’m using Spotify on an Android phone. I don't have a beta version, it's version 9.0.90.1229:

The search function doesn’t work anymore when I want to add a song to one of my (many) playlists. I have to scroll through my whole playlist library just to find the right one.
