Shared Playlists section missing in Spotify Kids

We’re receiving reports that Shared Playlists are not showing up in the Spotify Kids app. The issue is affecting multiple devices.

Hi folks,

 

Thanks for your patience while we investigated this issue.

 

We're happy to announce that this should now be fixed for everyone - just make sure you're running the latest app versions.

 

Should the issue persist, try logging out and signing back in a couple of times to force a refresh, or perform a clean reinstall of both apps.

Hello,

 

I’m having the same issue. The playlist is public, app is up to date, I’ve turned in and off the iPad and I’ve removed and re installed the app, and the playlist is not showing up. It does not contain a podcast.

Same question as the above. I exclusively paid the extra money for a family account so my 10 year old and I could use the account at the same time. I shared my playlists with her (all are public) and I don’t see them in the kids Spotify account? Where do we go to find them?

I have the same problem - tried to share 3 playlists with my child. All are currently set to public. One playlist shared, the others do not show up.

Thanks for reaching out via the Community! As we'd like to look further into what's happening, we've created a separate thread here.

 

@monibirdy you mentioned that one of the playlists was shared. Does this mean it appears in the Kids app and could you let us know if you notice something different with it in comparison to the other 2 playlists?

 

Also folks, let us know if you've tested sharing old or new playlists and if they for example contain local files. 

 

The more info you provide, the better as it's helping us investigate.

 

Lastly, it'd be great if you could share what troubleshooting steps you've performed already and what device(s) this behavior persists on.

 

We'll be on the lookout 🙂

I have this problem. The playlists are public and have no podcasts episodes. I’ve tried restarting the app and the iPad and reinstalling the app.

Hi everyone,

 

If you're still experiencing this issue, try making the playlist private, then setting it to public again - this will force a refresh which may help here. You can also create a new copy of the playlist from the three dots menu > Add to other playlist > New playlist to see if that does the trick.

I did everything including making the playlist public, uninstall and reinstall the app, log out log back in and still nothing showing up for the shared playlists. I am the manager of the family plan and the only collaborator on the playlist so I don't understand why it would not show up.

I am having the exact issue, I’ve followed all previous advice but the shared playlists are still not showing up.

Hey there,

I have the same problem here recently.

But for my it seems like the shared playlist section has just been removed.

The whole section is gone for selection for my daughter.

 

Yes I can toggle the playlists to share in the adults section, but there's. I was I started one of those playlists on her own. And yes they're marked public.

 

So how to help here?🤔
