Some users unable to log in on iOS devices

We're seeing some reports from iOS users saying they get the error message "Something went wrong. Try again." when trying to log in with email/username + password, despite entering the correct credentials.

Thanks for your patience while we investigated this issue.

 

We're happy to announce that this should now be fixed!

 

If you're still having issues, try the following troubleshooting to see if that does the trick:

  • Use another Wi-Fi network. You can ask a friend or a relative to create a mobile hotspot for you.
  • Try with cellular data instead.
  • Try logging in without a password or using another login method (if available) such as Apple, Google or Facebook.
  • Perform a clean reinstall of the app.

I added Apple as a sign in method and now I'm able t use the iOS app. Stupid that I had to do that. Not a great first impression.

this has been happening to me and ive been trying to log in since this morning, i sign in to my account every day and my password and email stay the same but now it’s saying that my credentials are incorrect or my password is wrong even though ive had it saved on my phone. it really frustrates me because i just got premium last month and the fact that i cant log in anywhere makes me sad 😞 

Please fix this before i start crashing out

FOUND THE SOLUTION 

 

go to settings app 

go to the bottom and go to apps

click Spotify 

turn off cellular data 

log in

Is there an actual update on this? It’s getting ridiculous. Not good service at all. I tried the fix above and that still hasn’t worked. And due to all the issues we’ve had to reset our passwords on one log in because Spotify emailed to say they thought it was being hacked! Waste of money for premium at the moment

This has been happening to me since yesterday. I can’t log in, I use my Face ID and it won’t log me in, tells me my password is incorrect and have had to change it and it’s still not working. Very frustrating when you’re paying for Spotify and you can’t use it! 
when is this going to be fixed?

I’m having an issue with the app — I haven’t been able to log in for the past three days, even after renewing my subscription. I’ve tried all possible solutions, but the app still won’t open or allow me to sign in.

 

Could you please check this issue and assist me as soon as possible

Device: iPhone 13 

Location: United Kingdom 

Plan: Premium 

iOS: 18.5 

 

I am experiencing the issue where I am logged in just fine and can play and search for music, however the Home page is blank and displays a 'Something went wrong' message at the bottom of the screen - the Reload button is stuck behind the song I am listening to. I did manage to tap it before the song loaded which moved the box up so that I could tap it again but nothing worked and it still just displayed the same message.

Hi @Yordan , is there any update on this? It's our main family spotify setup is not working currently.

Also howw do you login to IOS spotify app without a password? I can do that on the web app (have a code sent) but the app doesn't give that option. And logging in with apple didn't work either, same issue.
