[iOS] Playlists appears empty

We're seeing reports that some users are unable to see songs in playlists - both on their own playlists and in Spotify-curated playlists.

 

This seems to be affecting iOS mobile devices only.

Thanks for your patience while this was being looked into!

 

We have good news from our teams - the issues with playlists appearing empty on iOS should now be fixed! We're also happy to see more confirmations from you that things are working after trying the workaround with changing language settings.

 

Should you experience an issue with similar symptoms on Android, make sure to check this thread for more details, as we'll be locking this iOS related thread.

Totally experiencing the same issue minus the every song search says not available! The playback issues are driving me NUTSSSSSS

Thanks for getting in touch about this and welcome to the Community! 

 

Could you try logging out and then logging back into your account twice in a row? We know this sounds odd, but it'll trigger a sync between your account and device. 

 

If this doesn't do the trick, would you mind sending us a short screen recording of the issue happening so we can take a closer look? You can attach it to your next response by using the Insert Video option in the post editor. You can also upload it to Google Drive and share the link with us (make sure the video has the permissions for anyone to see it).

 

Lastly, sending us the exact make/model, operating system and Spotify version of your affected device would come in handy. 

 

We'll be on the lookout for your reply.

Cancelled Premium subscription. Will reactivate once this ongoing problem - and the constant ads - are fixed.

Pls Spotify, fix this. Ive been without music on my phone for a month. I spoke with tech support and they said this is a known issue and they will send out an update. There has been 4 updates since ive had this problem. This is lowkey unacceptable.

My Question or Issue

no songs appear in app. Search is empty. Playlist covers come up but once I click on it, the playlist is empty. No issues on my iPad or on a web browser. 

I’ve tried all the suggestions, updating app, checking if my phone needs an update, uninstalling and reinstalling, restarting my phone etc and nothing so far has worked. 

This has been going on for the past 4 weeks and I’m getting to the point where I’m not sure I want to pay for something I can’t use properly.

The issue does not happen in the web player. I can see all my songs in my playlists. I have not used
 the age verification flow. I was on my wife’s family account and the same issue still occurred on the mobile app. I attempted to clear cache, do a clean reinstall, check my country, my app is updated to latest version. All did not work. 

One weird thing, the category of episodes comes up on the mobile app. I guess those are videos from Spotify? Not sure. First time I’m seeing them. Also, some podcasts show up. I also have random playlists show up, like really random. But none of the suggested or my own show up.
