My Question or Issue

For certain artists if I search the internet with my computer/phone for Spotify, the artist, and a certain album the search returns the list of songs, number of tracks, and the link to it at Spotify.

When I follow the link on my computer it goes to Spotify inthe browser and shows the album and full track listing on Spotify and lets me add it to a library, playlist, etc. but only the first track is added.

When I follow the same link on my phone it goes to the album via the app but lists only the first track.

Why can I see the full album track listing for that artist via my computer's browser but add only the first track to my library, playlist, etc. At the same time, why can't I see the same info thta's on my computer's browser in the desktop/phone app?

Hey @Dasorta,

Thanks for reporting this. Could you explain a bit more about the first track being added? Are you trying to save an album, but only the first track of the album is saved for you? Can you find the album under your saved Albums in the app?

It would be very helpful if you could send us a screenshot that explains what's going on, and also send us a URI of the album.

Thanks!

Hey @Dasorta! Welcome to the Spotify Community. ^^

That's odd.

The songs may be not available in your country.

Sometimes content is not available because of licensing changes.

Hopefully Spotify will have it available again soon! ^^

Peace

When I look for Kim Wilde's albums not all of them are there

In the desktop application, I search for her name, right click on an album and select 'Go to artist' and change view to Cover view (vs Cover and song list view). Going by Wikipedia for Kim Wilde's Discography of her studio albums, all of them are on Spotify except for 3. Love Is, Come Out and Play, and Snapshots aren't listed with the others in Spotify.

In the mobile app, I search for her name, scroll down to 'See All Albums' and using Wikipedia for the same above, Love Is and Snapshots aren't listed.

When I Google for 'spotify kim wilde album' and the track names, the results are:

Love is
11 songs

https://open.spotify.com/album/46PuUoP1jo1zz7lGdHRoDu

Snapshots
14 songs

https://open.spotify.com/album/1a4LAMWRT5cpk91PXjsQd9

15 songs

Come Out and Play
13 songs

13 songs

As I paste the links here, the relevant album info/covers show below.

Following the link for each shows the album with all the tracks. When I try to add the Album to my playlist, only the first track is added and none of the other tracks.

So why can I find said albums for Kim Wilde for Spotify on the internet and not with the desktop and mobile app, yet only add the first track from the Spotify link and not the rest of the tracks?

Hey @Dasorta.

Thanks for including all that info 🙂

Regarding the issue of not finding certain albums in Spotify, we see exactly what you mean. We therefore recommend you check out this support article, which will direct you to the right people. You can also report the duplicate albums there.

As for the issue with only being able to add one song of an album to a playlist, we tried replicating it and everything seems fine for us. Would you mind sending some screenshots to show how it looks on your end?

If there's anything else, we'll be right here 🙂

P

I know it's been a little while since I posted this but I recently enabled 'Show unplayable songs' in the settings and now when I look at the albums I posted I can see that all the songs are greyed out which explains why I can't see them in the Spotify app or add them from the Internet. I'll just have to get them from elsewhere and import them into Spotify.
