My Question or Issue
spotify plays the songs with laggy audio from time to time. bluebooth pairing between the phone and earphone is within 1m distance. this laggy issue also happens when playing the songs from local file.
the earphone works well and no laggy audio on using other apps like youtube, cisco jabber, VLC, hearing phone calls, etc.
Hey @PikaJ ,
Thanks for posting in the Community.
Is the same experience occurring when using a different set of headphones or a different Bluetooth playback device altogether?
Have you tried pairing the headphones with a different mobile device? This way we can exclude the actual mobile device as the perpetrator.
Also do try repairing the headphones with the current mobile device and/or resetting the headphones to their factory settings.
Let us know how that went,
Cheers!
Exact same problem here. Samsung S20. Spotify v.8.8.22.510 (latest). Playback skips every 3-4 seconds. Do not have this problem with any other app on this phone. I also run Spotify on a separate iPhone (Spotify v.8.8.24.312) and it works fine as well, no skips. The only problem application is Spotify on Android and Shokz OpenRun.
Hey @DNotarione,
Thanks for posting in the Community.
Can you please check you device settings and make sure that the Spotify app is set as an exception in any memory- or battery-optimizing services?
Looking forward to your reply.
I have this exact same issue - no problem with other bluetooth earphones or speakers, no problem on any other app, no problem with Shokz OpenRun on another device (S10). Only happens with the combination of S20, Spotify App & Shokz OpenRun. Hoping someone has found a solution.
I'm having the same problem. Stutters ever 3-4 seconds. Only on Spotify and with shokz openrun. Other Bluetooth headphones have no issues and other apps don't have issues.
This is on Android
Hi, did anyone found a solution to this problem? I got the same effects on spotify only, when my S21 FE works flawlessly with any other BT speaker/headphones.
help please 🙂
Hi, I can't confirm this but I tried turning off my phone's wifi and the stutter is gone, using mobile data for Spotify
Using Samsung note 10plus and openrun
Please try and let me know if it works for you
I have thus exact issue with my S21 FE and my shokz open run. Tried everything, unpairing etc. Works fine with all other apps. Soooo annoying!
Same issue here. Shokz OpenRun Pro, Galaxy s20 ultra (Android 13), Spotify version 8.896.364. On my phone the headphones work fine on other apps but on Spotify the audio cuts, skips, speeds up, and slows down. Works fine with different headphones or using Spotify on my laptop, it seems it's only an issue on the Android version with these specific headphones.
Funny but that worked for me. Problem stopped as soon as i turned off wifi..
Hello everyone!😀 I have exactly the same problem only with the new Shokz OpenMove and Samsung S20 Ultra. Playing sounds - music or audiobooks - via Wi-Fi is clearly a problem! The sound cuts out all the time. Not only Spotify but also Storytell and all other applications of this type. Just download the audiobook to memory and turn off Wi-Fi - the problem disappears immediately! I tried everything - changing the Wi-Fi point, resetting the headphones and phone. Nothing helps and it's very annoying. You can still download the audiobook to your phone and turn off Wi-Fi, but it's not so easy with music from Spotify or online radios. And as you write - connecting the Internet with the operator's 4 or 5G, there is no problem either! It seems that Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are interfering with each other in some headphones. I also did a test - I used the same headphones but a different phone - Samsung Galaxy A70. Everything worked perfectly even with Wi-Fi turned on. Does anyone have an idea how to solve this? Or the only way is to return the headphones to the seller and possibly exchange them for another one? After all, headphones are not cheap, they are a branded product! will be grateful for your help😀
Andy
