Echo/Echo Dot Won't Play Spotify

My Question or Issue

When asking Alexa to play a song, station, etc. on spotify she will repeat "Now playing SONG on Spotify" but then the song never actually plays, no sound from the speaker. When I pull up the Spotify App or the Alexa app I'm able to control the music and get the music to play, but that shouldn't be what I have to do. Anyone have a fix for this?

Yeah, same thing is happening to me right now. I've tried unlinking and linking again but nothing works

I have just set my Spotify account up and when I ask Alexa to play a tune on Spotify, she repeats what I told her then just silence. (??)
