Unfortunately, there is no way to get Spotify radio on Sonos as radio is not provided as part of the libspotify SDK that Spotify release to manufacturers to integrate with Spotify.

Hi Peter

Thanks for response, and I presume there is no way of logging into Spotify and then playing through Sonos

I don't understand how this can be marked as solved. The spotify functionality available in Sonos is just too limited. The radio feature is particularly annoying but please Spotify. Commit to robust functionality in Sonos.

@BadBarticus Just wanted to add my support to this topic. Love mySonos, big investment not going to change it any time soon. Love Spotify but very disappointed with the lack of integration and lack of functionality when using it with Sonos. Google Play is looking more and more attractive. If there is no sign of improvement very soon from Spotify I will be reluctantly changing my music streaming service!

I am a BIG fan of Spotify and Sonos. I am such a big fan, that I am paying the monthly $10 and even often tell my friends on Facebook about how awesome Spotify is. In fact, I totally love the radio functionality. I think Spotify does a far better selection of songs than Pandora, which I used intensively before your awesome app came around!

This whole Sonos affair needs to be resolved ASAP, beacause I would really like to get my money's worth. Otherwise I would be perfectly satisfied with a non-Premium membership and use Pandora, or other services such as iHeart, Google Play, Pandora on my Sonos..

I agree with these folks who have complained about not being able to get Spotify radio on Sonos.  Additionally I would like to see the full range for the browse button on Sonos as well.

I hope that something can be done to add this functionality to Spotify on Sonos.  Love my Sonos and want full functionality for Spotify on my system.

I agree with these comments.  Sonos is the driving force here by virtue of the investment in the system.  Requiring a Spotify premium subscription to integrate with Sonos and then not providing all of the premium services on Sonos is tantamount to bait and switch.  There are too many other good streaming systems out there to pay for something that's not delivered.  I won't be renewing my Spotify premium subscription.

I just contacted Sonos support asking about this very problem. They place the issue clearly at Spotify's feet, "stating that Spotify API does not allow for the full feature set offered within the Spotify app". Sonos tech support stated there are two ways to solve this problem; Spotify exposes more of it's feature set such as Spotify Radio via it's API that Sonos will include as part of their app, or Spotify has the ability to wirelessly send the music to our Sonos speakers like it does with Airplay devices. Currently Google's All Access music app on Android allows for music to be sent to Sonos devices according to tech support. The code is ready and available from Sonos, Spotify just needs to include it in a future update

I have the same experience. Sonos tells me to contact Spotify. I don't care so much for Radio, but it is very disappointing that I cannot get my favourite albums in Sonos. ๐Ÿ˜ž

I don't really understand what the issue is. Is it so difficult to implement this? I don't really see any reason for Spotify to discourage listening via Sonos, or am I missing something?

I recently became an enthusiastic convert from Pandora to Spotify premium. So enthusiastic that I bought a Sonus Play 1 to enjoy it!

I just set it up this morning only to discover  the limited version of Spotify it allows.

I am returning the Sonus.

Whilst not a perfect solution I have found a work around to getting the radio function of spotify working on my playbar/play3 system. I have Apple TV connected to my tv/entertainment system and all I simply do is enable AirPlay from either one of my iOS devices or MacBook. I know it's not the greatest solution but it works for me as all my devices are interconnected.

Sonos announced today that it's opening up its platform to Spotify Connect
