My Question or Issue
After the latest update to Heos the connection between Spotify and Heos have been shaky. It works fine with TuneIn, Tidal etc, but playing from Spotify will make speakers change in volume, music stopping altogether for a while, and generally irrational behaving. I have done a clean install of Spotify and the Heos app on my phone. The same problem occurs also on other phones. I have a variety of Heos speakers from different generations and also one Denon Home speaker.
Worked for 30mins and you’re unbelievably happy?
or worked for 30mins then broke and unbelievable how bad Denon developers are?
I have to choose this one: "worked for 30mins then broke and unbelievable how bad Denon developers are?"
Någon skrev att allt löste sig med den senaste heos uppdateringen ? För mig löstes ingenting. Vad behöver man göra för att alla problem ska lösas? Sitta still i bbåten och vänta en månad på nästa uppdatering ?
Yes, in my case the problem is solved with the latest Heos update. I've been listening to Spotify for several hours a day on my 7 speaker setup (with 4 of them grouped, connected via WiFi and LAN, 3xHS1, 1xHS2). Make sure you have that update installed on all speakers. If you still have problems, the issue discussed here might not be the cause of your problems
It’s not fully fixed for me, but is much better, I have a couple of particular songs that pause/stutter at the same points before, they still stutter but later in the song and it feels less of them, theres defo still a problem there but certainly better post update.
Same for me- much much better!
New firmware are released for HEOS HS1-products. I have just updated and so far it works.
Firmware from 03.08.2022 (U28.4) - Update only available for HS1 catagory products
HEOS iOS App (2.47.470)
HEOS Android App / Kindle Fire App (2.47.470)
HEOS Firmware HS2 Catagory Products (2.47.470)
HEOS Firmware HS1 Catagory Products (2.47.471)
Fixed: Spotify audio dropout issues with HEOS HS1 catagory products after U28 update.
Fixed: Major delay with volume control while streaming from Spotify to HEOS HS1 catagory products.
Other bugfixes and performance improvements
New update worked for a couple of days. Lol.
It's a bit better than before, at least doesn't break in the middle of a song but it takes a long time until the first song can reliably be played.
Every time I start listening on HEOS Link, I think I miss the first 10 seconds of the song.
Is there a Denon or Heos forum to report these issues?
What a joke.
I have 14 various HS1/HS2 Heos speakers - still does not work. It has actually become WORSE as now TuneIn radio cuts out too, as Spotify DID. Now, Spotify actually doesn't work at all - it doesn't even cut out!
Also, I need to reboot all of my speakers 1-2 times per day in order for them to reconnect to the wifi and get TuneIn to work somewhat-ok.
I have similar, mixed setup as you do. It is still shady despite all the recent updates. But, I have previously posted a workaround that should work and will only set you back around $50. Use a Google Chromecast and an HDMI splitter to connect to the AUX input on your main speaker and then you can use Chromecast from Spotify. If you like I can explain in more detail. 🙂
I have 2 heos 5s, 1 heos 7, a bunch of Denon heos 150, heos avr. and heos home cinema in the last week it does seem better for me over all. Random skips and cut outs are occurring. But it's vastly improved from where it was a month ago. Mush more stable. I use android but my wife uses apple and experience is about the same. running. heos. 2.47.471 on all except the denons.
Is this a Spotify or a Heos problem? Who needs to make the fix? I have the same issues as listed here and I am about to change to Sonos speakers or go to Deezer or Amazon. How long do we wait? At some point the wallet needs to do the talking. ugh.
Hello again, HEOS gas been working quite well for awhile. It loses audio from Spotify sometimes but swiping to next song works.
until now: next funny issue, when opening the app the vokume is maxed out in one of my four rooms. Then i have about three seconds to lower that before HEOS catches up and blows the speakers.. interesting indeed..
Any news on this issue? We're having the same problems with Spotify connect through Heos Link. The music stops for a second on irregular intervals. All the software is up to date, and I've tried restarting the system.
