I would like to know if the Spotify development team plans any integration of the lyrics with Chromecast, as the rival French company already does.

Currently there is no new on Spotify developing an integration for the Lyrics feature on Chromecast.

If you think other users might also like it, go ahead and create an idea on the relevant idea board. When an idea gets a lot of votes it usually gets implemented in the app in the future. We always take new ideas and feedback into consideration to improve the app. Here you can read more on how ideas work.
