Messaging Feature is missing

I have noticed that the messaging feature is missing on my Spotify. While my friends have access to this feature, I am unable to communicate with them because it is not available to me. How can I obtain this feature?

We are only rolling out and testing Messages in select markets to start. We’d suggest keeping an eye on our Newsroom blog as any important announcements are posted there. You can also subscribe to our newsletter.

My Question or Issue

I don't seem to have dms in spotify. Is that a limited feature or am I missing something

Same here man, my other accounts have the feature(no subscription) but in my main account even having premium(family)

I have the same problem! Whats really weird is that everyone else on my family plan can use them, but I can’t. : ( (& yes, I tried updating the app, refreshing the app, logging out and back in, restarting my phone)

 I don’t know why both replies showed up- it said there was an error 💀

This is not solved for me- the rest of my family plan can use messages and for some reason my account does not show the option. I tried refreshing the app, updating it, and logging in and out of it but none of it worked. : ( is there a way to request it for my account or something?

Thanks for reaching out.

The feature is still in the process of rolling out, so if you still don't have it, keep an eye out and you should have it soon. As an aside, be advised that you must be over the age of 16 in order to have it, so that might be a possible cause too. Double check your account settings in case something is incorrect.

Okay, but the age thing, i checked it out. It was set at 2004 man
