New Design, wasted space, missing overview

New Design, wasted space, missing overview

Dear Spotify Team,

I use spotify solely on the desktop. Up until now, the design allowed me to have a very easy overview over big lists of songs.

The new design is terrible in this regard. With my quad-resolution, I see now some bunched together text on the left side and... far away on the right side the song length (zooming also reduces oversight, as it shows a lot less songs per screen). 75% of the screen is now unused (given a normal font-size). When I try to find the songs from a certain interpret or album in a long list, it now takes forever and is frustratingly cumbersome.

It should be obviously clear, that looking for a certain song-name in a list of names written on top of each other is a lot easier than finding a song-name burried somewhere within the whole of the "text blocks" there are now. Btw. a search and filter function, which acts within a playlist, would also fix this problem.

Yes, the UI looks better than before, but the usability on the desktop just got a lot worse. So for me, this is a big step back.

Please give users a choice to get the old simple table-based song-view back (at least for the desktop).

I quite often listen to you, I really hope you once listen to me 😉
