My Question or Issue

Spotify keeps getting confused beetween 2 remixes of a song. I don't think this is device related, but everytime "Seek Bromance - Avicci Vocal Edit" is in a playlist generated by Spotify (like Chill Mix, EDM Mix, Daily Mix, etc...), it ends up playing "Bromance - Avicci's Radio Edit".
If I choose the song manually, it plays the right song. If Spotify selects the song for some generated playlist, it mixes up the two.

Hi @DrPini,

Thanks for reaching out. Could you please provide us the following:

  • Is this on all devices or only on specific one(s)?
  • When did you first notice this?
  • Are these the only songs affected?
  • The URIs/Links to both songs
  • Screenshots or a video of the behaviour

With this information, we’d be happy to investigate.

Keep us posted.

Helo Joan

I've noticed this mostly on the Windows app.

It's a very specific "bug" (if we can even call it that) hard to replicate.
I just noticed now on "Your Top Songs 2023".
During the year I listened a lot this song: https://open.spotify.com/track/7tSO7DrrYpiMXX3zM4b3oM?si=6259454ba1b94139

However, in the "Your Top Songs 2023" this is the the one showing: https://open.spotify.com/track/6J7ZSdEEYo3ns4gnHdwRL0?si=618fbb7b3fd54699

I have a screen recording larger than 5MB.

Hey @DrPini,

Thank you for reporting this. We can't give you an ETA for a fix, so we'd recommend making sure that your app is always up to date.

Cheers,
