Issue:

Ever since Spotify’s new update on PS5, the audio for any song I play through the PS5 Spotify app or even through the PS5 quick menu seems to stutter/lag/freeze at a random time during the song that is currently playing and happens every so often. The stutter seems to randomly stall the song for a couple of seconds with no audio. It’s gotten so annoying and I’ve tried rebuilding the database on my PS5, troubleshooting my internet connection, deleting the Spotify app and reinstalling, and the issue still persists. Please fix this.

Hey, having this issue for a long time. i thought it was due to my old playstation 4. i recently bought a playstation 5 but the problem still persists. 

Switching to Apple Music to see if it works any better… 👍

i’m experiencing the same issue on ps5. music will just randomly stutter and it will not cease unless i: pause and unpause, unplug router/ps5, uninstall, clearing cache. i even factory reset my ps5 and it STILL stutters. any word on this yet?

On my ps5 sometimes a song will start lagging and then just get skipped. Sometimes it doesn't even play the next song. This is not an internet issue because this has never happened before and I used to only have a Hotspot but now I have actual internet

has this even been fixed yet ? it’s to the point i can’t even listen i haven’t been able to listen to spotify in a week now and it happened randomly never had this problem before. i haven’t to listen on my ipad off to the side and i shouldn’t have to do that. i also don’t wanna switch to apple music but looks like i might have to ughh

It's 2026 and this issue still hasn't been fixed on ps5

I'm not exactly sure if this is the right place to report bugs, but the past few days I've noticed that whenever I'm playing music on Spotify on PS5, my music has constantly been skipping by 20 or 30 seconds automatically, and I'm not exactly sure what it is. Sometimes it would completely skip a song.

I've had a similar issue on my Xbox and Pc where after every ad it would skip 20 to 30 seconds of the next song and it is so infuriating. I thought it was just me but I have seen lots of others have had this same issue so please can you fix this issue.
