My Question or Issue

I am in a Jam with someone else, we are attempting to listen to a podcast together. The podcast itself has ads recorded into the episode itself. When the episode starts, I am getting the ads, he is not getting the ads at all. This causes our episodes to be out of sync.

It doesn't matter which one of us initiates the Jam, either way I get the ads and he goes straight to the intro of the podcast. If I try to skip through the ads, it skips him through the content, as our timestamps still remain the same. It could say 4:20 on mine, and 4:20 on his, but I would be at the end of the ads and his would already be in the content. It is worth saying that I have an iPhone and he has an Android, but it's not been a problem until a couple days ago.

It's getting very frustrating as we are paying for premium so we can use the jam feature.

Spotify doesn’t play ads that interrupt the music listening experience, however, some podcasts may include advertising, host-read endorsements, or sponsorship messages. There’s more info about this here.
