Problem syncing Amazon Alexa with Spotify/Sonos One

Hi!

i got Spotify premium and just downloaded Amazon Alexa. Setting up is going fine until i’m going to Choose Default Music Services. I cant choose Spotify though i see the option. What to do? I live in Sweden.

It might be that Alexa Sonos integration is not supported in your country yet.

I had that problem where I live in Canada, which has just got support this week, and it's working ok here now.

The following might work for you there, not sure.

To get around this issue until this week I changed my country to the U.S.

Sonos, Alexa and Spotify worked great this way.

Log into your account on Sonos and change it, worked fine for me until it was supported here this week.  I didn't need to change my real address, just the country or region.

Also, make sure you're logged into Sonos, Spotify and Alexa when you go thru the setup to select your default service.

I believe this integration is working in the U.K. Germany and Austria.

Maybe try changing your country to one of these if the U.S. doesn't work.

Same problem here, I live in Norway and I'm not able to select Spoify, yet it's visible. Have tried to set country in Sonos account to both US and UK, no dice so far.

I wonder why it worked changing the country to the U.S.  for me here in Canada, but not for guys.

I know you can access your spotify service outside your country if you have the premium service.

If you have a VPN service you could try changing to one of the other countries and see how that goes.

There is a lot of discussion on the Sonos support community site about all of this, hopefully there's a solution there.
