Note: I'm not a Spotify employee.

I have the exact same problem. I press connect and it gives me the option of choosing the PS4 (says available on network), but when I press that button nothing happens. And no that guide doesn't help.

No it didn't but I haven't tried it since the new update so I'm hoping that will work

exact same problem occuring to me now. thing is, it actually always worked. i just updated to premium as a student and the moment i did, it stopped working. ps4 is shown as available on network, ps4 spotify app goes back to home screen and nothing happens. this sucks big time. any hints except for that guide?

Same for me. I also have same problem with my HEOS AMP, which used to work 😞 Did you try from the PC client? That doesn't work either for me.

Same problem here, either since the ps4 update or a spotify update something went bad?

Something is wrong with the connect option and it needs to be fixed ASAP. I do not pay for premium just for fun i want to listen to music while i game!!!

If somebody related to spotify could reply?

also sent in a helpform to spotify help desk and as of yet still no reply either.

i did. imac is not connecting.

It says available on network and fails to connect everytime. What I do, is just turn offline mode on and back off and its been working for me, and have to restart the ps4 app. Annoying, yes, but it works for me. And maybe somebody else reading this.

UPDATE: I found out that it was my spotify account. I made another account with another email and it was working fine. While it may have fixed the problem it doesn't mean there isn't a problem. I would like to use my other account, this seems to be a problem with many people so try making another account if you were having my problem

Hey guys. I figured out a slightly round-a-bout way to connect your phone to the ps4. I put in my username and password on the ps4, and started playing music. My phone then let me control the ps4 music on the tv.

I'm not sure this helped or not, but I turned on the Bluetooth on my phone when I connected my ps4 to my phone.

I'm having this issue too. Mind you it was wrong fine yesterday night whole I was gaming and now it's won't connect. The connection appears but nothing happens....

I want to connect with my ps4, but when I touch the bar on the bottom to bring up the menu with the album cover and what not, there is no button that makes the phone connect to the ps4! It says 'devices availlable' when the menu is down, but that disappears when I touch it...!

Logging out of the spotify app on my ps4 and logging back in with my phone allowed me to control the ps4 with it again.

I have an android and it won't connect to my ps4 nor show that there is any device. I logged on with facebook so I don't have a password and can't set one cause my email won't get the set password email any one help?!?!?!

I'm not sure I can help you, it's been over a year since I've had to deal
with this. My spotify (premium) is through my email and password. I tried
googling the problem for you and didn't find much of a solution. There's a
couple things I would try though: try turning your phone off and on again,
then try to connect. And/Or see if your phone and ps4 are connected to the
same internet connection.

I just turned the wifi off from my phone then turned it on and it worked
