My Question or Issue
In the age of smart phones, social media, streaming, digital copyright reform, and generative ai, there is a need to change the current financial system for payment for songwriters, composers, musicians, publishers and labels. In the US, due to Spotify not paying directly and relying on untrustworthy third parties, there are myriad of problems to the tune of a missing $424 Million from the audit of the Mechanical Licensing Collective by George Clinton. Now, there are proposed acts which might proliferate the performing rights organizations since Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon and every company that uses music do not pay directly nor transparently as shown. I propose Spotify, Apple, Meta, Amazon, Google combining to create a service and a bank to pay and employ succesfully streams composers, songwriters, musicians as shown.
