Spotify Keeps pausing when playing music on xbox one x

I am playing a song on Spotify on my Xbox and keep pausing every couple of seconds i have tried re installing the app and disconnecting my discord and re connecting and restarting my Xbox one x though its still not working

Thank you for reaching out here in the Community!

Just to confirm, have you tried a clean reinstall instead of the regular one? This is more thorough and it'll get you the latest app version with all necessary updates and fixes and will remove any corrupted files from previous installations.

Note: In case anyone is using Discord on your PCs, note that it can cause your music to pause every few (~30) seconds.

If a family member has a Spotify account, it could also be a good idea to ask them to log in on your device to see if the app behaves the same way.

In case it does, it'd be great if you could tell us the exact Spotify version that you use? If you don't know how to check it-go to this FAQ.

I have also been experiencing this on my Xbox One for the past couple of weeks (UK, late November 2022) and nine of the suggestions have made a difference. Spotify, the music streaming app that can't stream music 😆

For the last 2 months, when spotify goes to play an ad, all function stops with the player on Mac and Xbox. The skip buttons become greyed out and nothing can be selected to play. The ad never played, and forces me to force close both apps. Just recently, the ads have been able to play, yet the player still doesn't function afterwards, with the skip buttons becoming greyed out and stuck on the ad.

I'm having the same issue too when it comes to Xbox sometimes it'll stop after each song sometimes it stops after commercials But it's only doing it on my Xbox it doesn't do it on my phone

My Question or Issue

Often when listening to Spotify on my Series X, the screen won't update to the next song; it will reach the end of a song, show the "Up Next" in the top corner, but never actually show the next song.

The music will play as normal, and in the Xbox Guide the correct song will show, but the screen will show the song as being on the last second (i.e. 3:57/3:57) and will never change to the correct song.
