My Question or Issue

If I am playing music on my phone and a family member plays music on the smart clock, my phone automatically connects to the clock using Spotify connect. When I disconnect and log out from the clock to play my own music again, the clocks music stops playing. But when the clock starts to play music again, the device magically re logs in to the Spotify connect and my phone cuts out again. How would I stop this

Welcome to the Spotify Community!

 

You mentioned you've tried disconnecting. Do you mean removing the access for the smart clock from your Spotify account? If you haven't done so yet, you can give it a try by heading to your apps page. Make sure the correct account is linked to your Google smart clock. 

 

Something else that comes to mind is making sure your family members aren't accidentally using your account. I'd suggest logging out everywhere by logging in to your account page > scrolling to the bottom > Sign out everywhere.

 

Should the issue persist, try power-cycling the smart speaker, or a performing factory reset on the device to ensure everything's connected properly during the setup process.
