Hi,
I've googled this issue and found people with the same issue dating back to 2013, but I have not found a solution. When in the Spotify app (mac laptop and Android phone), it rarely sees my Sonos system. However, the Sonos app does see Spotify. I don't want to use the Sonos app to browse spotify though, because I don't find it very user friendly.
My config:
* Spotify Family Premium (using 2 accounts)
* location: the Netherlands
* Devices: two Pixel 3A's with Android 10 (last updated June 5) and MacBook Pro with OS 10.14.6. But note that this problem also existed on other phones, windows machines, and older OS versions.
What I have tried so far (as suggested in other posts and on other fora):
* Reboot everything (router, sonos systems, devices)
* Try other networks (I've switched networks and routers twice)
* Reauthorize Spotify account in Sonos (this helped once, but no longer afterwards)
* Reinstall apps (both Spotify and Sonos apps on all devices)
What I have not tried:
In a post on this forum, Spotify suggested to the user that they create a new account, move all of their playlists over and use that account. They would be compensated for the cost of their premium account.
Not only is this a ridiculous solution, that other person tried and it did not help, so I don't plan on trying that.
Dear Spotify, please help me out!

Finally solved it myself. Turned out that one of my sonos devices was connected to both wifi and the cabled network. Even though this was the same network, this caused confusion with spotify connect. I unplugged the UTP cable and it all worked again (I thought I had disabled wifi all this time, apparently not).

Hi, I have this issue as well. I have tried all the above. I have a Playbar
Hi @sidradical,
Thanks for reaching out and welcome to the Community!
We understand that you have done the proposed troubleshooting above with no success. Let's try finish this together.
First off, we suggest making sure both your Spotify app and your Sonos System are updated and running the latest versions available. You can also check out the Sonos help page here, regarding any possible Wi-Fi interferences.
If the above does not resolve the issue, we'd need a bit more info to continue helping. Cloud you clarify which of the Spotify apps is having trouble to locate the Sonos in the Connect picker - the mobile, the desktop, or both?
Also can you confirm that it's possible for you to playback songs from Spotify using your Sonos app normally?
We hope this helped. Let us know how you get on.
Hi, I will try as you have suggested and provide feedback. Thanks
Hi @sidradical,

We'll be keeping an eye out for your reply 🙂
