Spotify is used on another device

Solved!

Spotify is used on another device

Hi guys,

I have a big problem with Spotify. I can't seem to be playing any music on my laptop, it keeps stopping with a message saying "The music has been stopped as Spotify is being used on another device".

But, I only use Spotify on one other device, my phone, where the app is closed and not playing any music. I've tried disconnecting all devices and logging in again, but it doesn't work.

Any ideas on what I could do?

Thanks a lot,

Paul

Hey @p4ulOldsworth!

Have you tried to change your Facebook password? That might do it. Let me know.

Hey @p4ulOldsworth! Welcome to the community!

That's not alright! Could you try to change your password and then click the 'Sign out everywhere'-button on this page? Let me know how that goes.

Hey!

I sign in using Facebook, and when I want to change password it goes to another account I used before but not anymore. Maybe if I delete this old account? If so, how do I do it?

Hi again @Huib !

It seems that the problem has continued. Is there any way to see which devices are using my account and delete them? I have tried to look on my account and it seems that I can only see my pc and phone, but still says my account is used on another device.

What should I do?

Thanks,

Paul

Hey @p4ulOldsworth!

Alright, I think it's best to contact someone from Spotify to take a look backstage. They can make sure everything is safe and secure. You can send them an e-mail here or you can shoot them a tweet at @SpotifyCares. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Take care! 🙂
