[Symbian] Problems logging in with a Facebook account

So you've got a Spotify account. And you've got a phone that's running on the Symbian operating system. But you can't get logged in!

 

If you've created an account through Facebook, you will need to create a device password. With this password, you should be able to get logged in on your phone!

I use 1122257200 but it doesn't work. I always get back to the edit lines.

Zaudi - That's quite strange. Please have a look an your inbox as I've just sent you an email with more instructions. 

 

N3umann - When did you request the device password email? These can take up to 48 hour to reach your inbox. 

 

Also, if you make the request numerous times this will simply slow the process down. Please have a look in your Spam filter as well--just in case. 

 


First thanks for the answer. I'm waiting for almost 4 days now. I already changed the settings so spotify should be able to reach my inbox.

I too am fed-up with this pathetic facebook login rubbish.

 

I try to login on my BlackBerry but there is no facebook option there.

 

1. I search on the Internet and read post here so follow links to: https://www.spotify.com/uk/help/faq/devices/connect-devices/

 

2. I click-on 'You can retrieve your Spotify username and create your device password here' which takes me here:

https://www.spotify.com/uk/account/set-device-password/ which tells me my 'Your device username is: 11nnnnnnnn'

 

3. I click-on 'Send email to set password'.

 

4. I get email which instructs me "To set a password to use Spotify on your devices simple follow the link below: " which takes me here: https://www.spotify.com/uk/login/?forward_url=/uk/account/set-device-password/ which forwards back to 1. as above https://www.spotify.com/uk/account/set-device-password/

 

And so I go round and round.

 

Madness!

 

So now  I can't access Spotify on my BlackBerry and I can't login to cancel my subscription. Smiley Mad

 

 

Edit: by the way I have tried Google Chrome, Safari and Opera - I have cleared cookies and restarted all browsers all to no avail.

Hi Faceless- Can I just confirm which Blackberry you're trying to use? 

 

Blackberry users don't need to set a device password to sign in. Simply put in your Facebook email as your username and then your Facebook password.

Incredibly I was able to mark your post a 'Solution' without logging-in (not without trying you understand)

 

I did click-on 'Log-in with Facebook' dozens of times without success, then followed link to 'update my community subscriptions' and when I again (for the umpteenth time) clicked-on 'Log-in with Facebook' it logged me in.

 

Something wrong there!

 

Perhaps you can tell me how to log-in to my Spotify account without clicking-on 'Log-in with Facebook'?

i can't login on my nokia n8. i have already created a device password but it doesn't work.

faceless - As you joined via Facebook I'm afraid there's no other way to log into your device. 

 

Are you still having trouble logging in when you open your app? Could you confirm exactly which Blackberry model you're using? 

 

robson2625- Can I just confirm that you're entering that 10-digit number as your username (not your email address). 

 

That number, along with your new device password, should log you in no problem.

I have Nokia E75, I got my device number and password, but when I try to login with them, Terms and conditions ask comes, when I press accept it says "logging in" and then goes back to log in screen, so I cant log in, Any help? And yes I am using the right device number and password.

Hi! I recently upgraded to premium and I want to set a device passoword, but the e-mail allowing me to do so hasn't arrived.  It's been two full days now.  Does anyone know why this would happen?

Johkis - I believe the issue here is you have two account on our system. Not to worry, I'm sending you an email now so we can help sort this out.

 

lalalala23 - When did you first request the password email? This can take up to 48 hours to reach your inbox--be sure to check your SPAM filter too.

 

Please note that the email processi is slowed down the more you request this email. If after 48 hours you haven't received anything let us know.

Somehow I can't log in on my phone. I reinstalled the app, got a device password (the email arrived quickly and it worked perfectly, however when I set this password where can I find it again?) but still i can't log in. I first tried this with my facebook log in however after this I tried with different combinations of user name and password. 

 

I tried to do all the things that were said in this thread but to no avail.

 

Anything else I can try? I only upgraded to Premium two days ago.
