Three-dot menu next to songs cannot be used

Three-dot menu next to songs cannot be used

First idea: it would be very helpful to have a place to report a bug or issue with the app. Ive noticed a problem lately and there is no way to point it out anywhere, nor any discussion about it online, that i can find. I really hate when companies / websites dont have any way to contact support directly. Forums and FAQs dont help every question.

 

Second - here is my issue: the โ€œโ€ฆโ€ next to each song that brings up the menu to add songs to a playlist, queue, etc has become very touchy and difficult to use. Much of the time, i am unable to click it, and instead of being able to add a song to my queue, it simply starts playing the song, no matter how accurately i try to click the โ€œโ€ฆโ€ and nothing else. I have very small fingers which are typically very accurate for hitting buttons on my phone, and this is not an issue i have ever had before until the most recent update. i am very tired of trying to ad songs to the queue, but instead whatever song i am trying to ad just starts playing (stopping whatever song i was just listening to.) Please fix it! ๐Ÿ™‚

That being said, weโ€™re sorry to learn that youโ€™ve had issues reporting problems within the app. You can post here on our help boards about any bugs you might encounter, and weโ€™ll be ready to help. If you donโ€™t find any similar/recent threads on the matter, you can always start a new one to see if other users with the same issues join the conversation. 

 

Additionally, you can find other ways to get in touch with us in this article. We understand where youโ€™re coming from and we appreciate all your comments. 

 

Now, regarding the behavior youโ€™re experiencing, weโ€™d recommend you start by reinstalling the app. That way, you can make sure youโ€™re running the latest version available and that the stored cache does not lead to not being able to select the three-dot menu next to the songs.

 

Weโ€™d also find it important to mention that you can also add songs to the queue with gestures. You can swipe right on a track for it to be added to the queue. Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

 

If issues persist, please send us:

  • Make/model and OS of the affected device.
  • The exact Spotify version youโ€™re running.
  • A video recording of the issue. You can attach the video in mp4 format to your next reply, or upload it to YouTube or Google Drive and make it public.
