i have the same issue... have done all the above posted solusions and still nothing... and now it has even stopped working on the internet explorer which for the longest time was the only browser that would play spotify....
My Chromebook doesn't have "Plug ins" option under Privacy>Content Settings
Spotify stopped playing on my Chromebook after i canceled Premium membership.
Updated Chrome, restarted machine, allowed all plugins, allowed all flash, allowed all java, no ad blocks on, nothing running in background. Result: Still doesn't work.
None of this works on a newer chromebook. I appreciate the added security but not being able to acess spotify premium on my chromebook really chaps my A$$. Spotify needs to redisign their interface so that it is safe and complies with the safety standards that Google has set forth to keep people safe while using chrome in this day and age of mega exploits.
It started working again in my Chromebook when i was advised to try Incognito Window.
Good for me Thank you :))))
NO, don't ok for me !
It doesn't work, I dont know why???
This is what mine looks like--I can't click play and when I hit play on playlists nothing happens. It doens't work in incognito mode either. I have tried all the suggestions and it is still not working. Any ideas?
Just to confuse things even more.........I opened it up in my Chromebook this morning and for the first time in a year or so it popped up! I didnt do a thing. I have no idea what caused it to start working.
I think, it's for installing the app.... web player is disable...

The Panel in chrome doesn't have this location, there is no such thing as "plug ins" or "manage exceptions" anymore 😕 any other solution for this?
BTW I do have "Allow" enabled on Flash for "https://play.spotify.com:443"
