Can't re-join Spotify family plan

Can't re-join Spotify family plan

I got an email telling me to renew my address to confirm I still lived with the owner of the family plan and forgot to confirm. I am now unable to get back into the family plan and get a pop-up saying I cant join another plan for 12 months when I try to accept the new family plan invite.

According to Spotify’s support page, "if the email verification fails or if you miss the 7-day window, your account loses access to the plan and switches to free. You won’t be able to join any Family or Duo plan for 12 months from the date the verification failed. However, you can go to www.spotify.com/premium to see other plans you’re eligible for."

 

I suggest asking the owner of the plan to send you another invite using a different valid email address. If that doesn’t work, contact Spotify’s customer support for further assistance which can be reached via the "Support" link at the bottom of the page.

Not gonna lie its a bit surprising to see such extreme wait times for a possible error like this lol

So you're saying that since I missed the 7 day period I have to wait another year just to get back on the family plan or make another account and lose everything on my old account?

I have to say that this is outrageous.  7 days and their accounts are nuked?  Time to move to apple music...
