Changing to premium family after subscribing for a year

Changing to premium family after subscribing for a year

Hello,

I have been a premium monthly subscriber for some time now.  A couple of months ago I recieved an offer to pay yearly (12 months at the price of 10 and I took it).  I now have almost a year left on my subscription.

Now I would like to upgrafe to a family plan.  How will this work?  Will I lose all my remaining months? Will I pay the difference per month? or will I start to pay once the balance I have left is used up pro rata?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Best Regards

Alan

Hi Alan,

There is a great support article here regarding common questions about Premium for Family. Specifically this paragraph, which I hope helps clear up your question. 🙂

I'm already on a Premium subscription. What happens to my billing when I become a Spotify Family admin user?

When you upgrade your subscription from regular Premium to the Spotify Family plan, any remaining time that you've already paid for gets equally divided between you and your member(s), so this can bring your next payment date forward. You can review your renewal date on the subscription page.

Note: If you subscribed through any other company than Spotify, you will need to contact that company to cancel before signing up to Spotify Family. If your subscription is through iTunes, please see Apple's instructions for canceling.
