Problem has been solved! Here are a list of steps in order to circumvent this bug.
Step 1) Invite the person you'd like to add to your family subscription.
Step 2) Create a dummy email address and send an additional invite. (If you use gmail you can do this: your_email_addres+random_text@gmail.com to skip creating a dummy account)
Step 3) If you have received the invite at your dummy email, forward the email to the person you'd like to invite. If not, repeat Step 2.
Step 4) Have the person use the code in the forwarded email to set up their account.
This solution may not work for everybody, but it has worked for me.

Yep, you can invite them using the link 🙂 There should be an option there whether to copy the link or input their email. Hope this helps. 😉

Could you please let me know about what link or where the "link button" is you are talking about? The only option i have when i am logged in into my Spotify account is that i have the ability to send invites by e-mail but those never reach my family members.
So sending a link by myself would be nice if i know which one it is or where i can send it 😉

I'm having this exact problem as well. Is there no way to view the redemption code? The emails are not going through. Nor is there an accept invite link/icon on my account page. Any help?

What worked for me finally is sending the email to another account i have (outlook), and it ended up in the spam box. The code worked for my original account and email i was trying to link to.

Have this problem again. Have both trie having it sent to a live.dk (microsoft) account. A gmail account an account on the domain of the owner of the family. But no emails a recieved. The are not in **bleep** folder. They seem to never be sent.
Have tried the solution with a "dummy" account. But nothing seems to happen.
Same here in the Netherlands. Tried to send an invite to my daughers new phone. But the mail doesn't arrive (also not on the laptop). Looks like something is wrong @ Spotify?
