Family Plan - If one person had a premium account will it automatically cancel?

Hello !

Just started a family plan, both of my teens had a spotify premium account that was being billed to me. My question is will those 2 accounts automatically cancel and merge into my family plan subscription or do we need to cancel the billing on their accounts?

Hello @juliasargis, thanks for reaching out!

 

If your teens are already in your Spotify Family Plan, the individual Premium subscriptions they had before should automatically stop billing if their Premium accounts were billed directly through Spotify.

 
When they joined your Family Plan, Spotify should have canceled their individual Premium billing and switched them to your plan. You won’t need to take additional steps in this case.

 

You can double check their billing status to confirm it:


- Log in to their Spotify accounts and navigate to Account Settings > Your Plan. If it says “Plan managed by Family Plan,” their individual billing should have stopped.
