Thanks for reaching out.

 

That's because it was an offer and offers are usually only available for a limited time and not all users are eligible.


You can always see all current offers available for your account at https://spotify.com/premium.

so when you create an account there was always a trial subscription for the family, it’s been like that for 5 years

While Spotify usually always offers a trial for Premium Individual, I personally haven't seen this being the case for Premium Family.

 

Spotify's pricing, plans and content availability are bound to change over time. These changes may also be specific to each market around the world, so if you'd like to see the currently available offers in your region, please visit spotify.com/premium/. 🙂

Look, for family there was always a trial subscription, for new accounts (this has been the case for 5 years) why is it removed now?

Yes I'd like to know the answer to the previous poster's question too.
